A lovely example of the patterned opal that has come from the Grawin area of late.

These have been paired up by sawing through the opal seam to get what is called a book leaf pattern ( a mirror image). These have a flattish back and face.
The stones have good colour across the face. I think the picture is close to the real thing in this case.

These stones are bordering on picture stones.
the main color plays are salmon pinks rolling across the face with movement.

At some angles they are blue green hue move them and they are red/pink.
